Description
The Wildlife Photography Project is here!
A photograph has endless power; within its still frame, it holds time and presents an unmoveable world in motion.
Photographs allow us to expose our internal landscape, show others the world as we see it, and open it up for interpretation. Photographs elicit emotion; they are of the other and yet are known to work as mirrors of the self.
My photographs feel like a part of me, much like my poetry. They are a journal, a diary—a sliver of the personal churned up with the surrounding world. I am lucky to hold those two parts of existence as tangible representations—that is, in so many words, photography in its best form.
The Wildlife Photography Project is a collection of my most cherished photographs captured during my month-long volunteer stint in the Amazon Rainforest with Crees, Manu Learning Center (MLC).
During these journeys into the rainforest, we were always curious about what we would observe; nothing was guaranteed, and anything was possible.
As you can see from the collection, my group and I witnessed some amazing natural wonders: Brown Titi Monkeys meeting our observing eye with wonderment of their own, a Wolf Spider carrying a delicate sack of eggs across the forest floor, night hikes spotting tree frogs, no end to the astonishing wildlife we observed.
This collection includes my favorite moments, which I captured in photographs (including those discussed above).

50% of your purchase goes directly to conservation efforts in the Amazon Rainforest, specifically at Crees Manu and the Manu Learning Center (MLC). In March of 2024, I was privileged to spend a month at the MLC volunteering and learning about the abundant life within the rainforest and the desperate need to keep biodiversity alive for the health of our entire planet. I went into the experience with an unwavering passion for wildlife, and even with that space in my heart already dedicated to the pursuit of compassion and conservation of the vulnerable life on our planet, I still left the MLC forever changed. I will continue to support their pursuits, and with your help, we are doing just that.
